Esp32 Bluetooth connection to a specific Bluetooth device name

38 Views Asked by At

I am using the example DiscoverConnect.ino, I need to connect to a specific device called "WSS1", when I run the DiscoverConnect.ino, the ESP32 connects to OBDII automatically, however, If more than a BT device is turned on around, the ESP32 cannot connect to the "WSS1". I need to add some coding to make the ESP32 connect only to a device named "WSS1". I have been trying to modify the code to do what I need, but all I got are errors.I have tried to get the name from the "btDeviceList", and then tried to connect to "WSS1" directly, but was not successful. Your help and assistance is appreciated.

 * Bluetooth Classic Example
 * Scan for devices - asyncronously, print device as soon as found
 * query devices for SPP - SDP profile
 * connect to first device offering a SPP connection
 *

 * Tested with Raspberry Pi onboard Wifi/BT, USB BT 4.0 dongles, USB BT 1.1 dongles,
 * 202202: does NOT work with USB BT 2.0 dongles when esp32 aduino lib is compiled with SSP support!
