failed execution after flutter upgrade

Question

There was a problem integrating the http package then I did (flutter upgrade) in the terminal and then all problems started. The program won't even run. at first, the problem was ("Failed to apply plugin 'com.android.internal.application") and then after I applied some of the suggestions at stackoverflow that I don't remember well, it shows the message:

* What went wrong:
Execution failed for task ':app:mergeDebugJavaResource'.
> A failure occurred while executing com.android.build.gradle.internal.tasks.MergeJavaResWorkAction
   > org/apache/commons/codec/binary/Base64

* Try:
> Run with --stacktrace option to get the stack trace.
> Run with --info or --debug option to get more log output.
> Run with --scan to get full insights.

The problems persist even after I tried to run a completely new flutter project.
