How can I enhance the speed of docker site

Question

I have site running on a docker container here is my compose file it is quite basic

  apache:
    image: httpd:latest
    networks:
      vlan-ecm:
        ipv4_address: 172.16.21.100
    ports:
      - "8080:80"  # Correct indentation here

    volumes:
      - ./html:/usr/local/apache2/htdocs

however I was wondering if there is anything I can do to enhance the loading speed of my site considering it takes ages to load. Would it be the lack of resources on my VM? what could maybe help make it load fast?
